Early Stage Researchers (ESRs)

Evgenii Liubishkin (ESR 7)

Project 7: Effects of early-life experiences on micro-circuitry in forebrain areas involved with stress regulation

Locations: Trinity College Dublin with secondments at Utrecht University & Vencomatic Group

Evgenii Liubishkin received his BA in Genetics from Perm State University of Russia in 2016 and his MA in Neuroscience from the same university in 2018. His master thesis is dedicated to the effect of the channel blocker for GABA receptor on theta rhythms in the hippocampus. Eduard Korkotian was his supervisor. During his master's degree Evgenii worked in the Institute of Neuroscience, University of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia under the supervision of Prof. Alexey Semyanov. There he researched electrophysiology in vivo, in vitro, and astrocytic cell cultures. He has just started his doctoral research in the field of the influence of stress on microcircuits in the bird brain multisensory perception at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland under the supervision of Professor Mark Cunningham.
