Michael's first month.....

My first month in Belgium and at ILVO has been very exciting! With respect to ChickenStress, I have spent much of my time refamiliarising myself with the literature and planning the experimental/logistical details of my trials, and I am currently completing a course to obtain the certification required for conducting animal trials. ILVO is also a wonderful organisation within which to be working, so I could not have asked for a better placement. Otherwise, I have thoroughly enjoyed my introduction to Belgian (and Flemish) culture and I find Ghent absolutely gorgeous. I have yet to try a true Belgian waffle, but I give Belgian beer two thumbs up!
